About Karen Devine:

Having been introduced to Homeopathy 18 years ago after the birth of her first daughter, unknown at that time her interest in natural healing methods would become her life's work.

She began to study Nutrition and it's affects with health not only on the physical but also on the mental and the emotional aspects. Having qualified in 2000 from the Plaskett college of Nutrition, Karen immediately set up in private practice which has grown over the years as we are becoming more aware of the effects our lifestyle and diet has on our bodies.

Karen is known for her natural approach to health and healing with the combined understanding of modern science and the older more ancient naturopathic philosophies.

Her work has progressed to more in-depth understanding of detoxification and healing as most diseases are an expression of a toxic load. Karen has recently qualified in the field of Homotoxicology which is the study of toxicity and the effects on the human body. She has incorporated this into her nutritional practice as an effective way of dealing with a variety of health issues.

In her practice working with individual clients Karen knows that education plays a large part of her role. As a nutritionist her aims are to help empower people which allows them to take charge of their own life and bring about positive change.

Karen is a regular speaker in her field in and around Cambridge and Peterborough areas, and more recently began working in detox centres in Europe with leading nutritionists dedicated to detoxification and healing.

Private Practice:
In her own private practice Karen is still able to remain independent prescribing the most suitable supplements for her patients' own personal needs and is not tied to one company for her one to one consultations.

Filming finished in September 2007 in Scotland where the theme was detoxing but with an emphasis on weight loss also. It was aired on TV June 2008.

	Early January 2008 Karen appeared a couple of mornings on GMTV for advice on nutrition.

The series will be shown January 2009 on BBC Scotland and UKTV.	"TEEN SPA". We took 5 teenagers out to Spain to turn over their diets as many of today's teenagers are a ticking timebomb of health with their highly processed foods and high chemical diets. We taught them the value of real foods and foods that our body knows what to do with. It was a joy to work with them and we saw a massive transformation in just one week!
